1. Census: A count for official purposes, especially one to count the number of people living in the country and to collect information about them.
We have a census in our country from 9th February, 2011 to 28th February, 2011.
2. Embroil: To cause someone to become involved in an argument or a difficult situation.
She had no desire to embroil herself in lengthy lawsuits with the tabloid newspapers.
3. Tabloid: (of or relating to) a type of popular newspaper with small pages which has many pictures and short simple reports.

4. Bandage: A long narrow piece of cloth which is tied around an injury or a part of someone’s body that has been hurt.
5. Insane: Mentally ill
For the last ten years of his life he was clinically insane.
6. Pious: Strongly believing in religion, and living in a way which shows its belief.
She is a pious follower of the faith, never missing her prayers.
7. Quest: A long search for something that is difficult to find, or an attempt to achieve.
Nothing will stop them in attaining their quest for truth.
8. Malady: A disease
All the rose bushes seem to be suffering from the same mysterious malady.
9. Bush: A plant with many small branches growing either directly from the ground or from a hard woody stem, giving the plant a rounded shape.

10. Wizard: A man who is believed to have magical powers and who uses them to harm or help the people.
Someone who is an expert at something or who has great ability in a particular subject.

11. Yield: To produce
The investigation yielded some unexpected results.
12. Thrive: To grow, develop or be successful.
His business thrived in years before the war.
13. Vacant: Not filled or occupied; available to be used.
The hospital has no vacant beds.
14. Engage: If a telephone or public toilet is engaged, someone is already using it.
I’ve been trying to call him all evening, but I keep getting the engaged tone/busy signal.
15. Vague: Not clearly expressed, known, described or decided.
I do have a vague memory of meeting her many years ago.
