• Successful professionals know how to conduct themselves at company meetings, parties and dinners.
  
  
• A confident self-introduction always makes a positive first impression.
  
  
• If you are going to meet the person first time, the other person is bound to feet comfortable to know who you are and why you are there.
  
  
• If you are meeting the person second time than say “ Good morning, Amit chaudhary”.
  
  
• To impress say “good morning , I am reena seth.i m here for my interview with Mr S K Nair. Hopefully, the person would respond-“good morning! I am nair. Pleased to meet you. We shall shortly have the interview.
  
  
• If there is an advantage in introducing yourself at the first opportunity, why do people shy away from doing so?.
  
  
• People greet each other by stating their full names and positions.
  
  
• Speak your name slowly and clearly.
  
  
• Do not use such horrific words like sri,smt,mrs,mr,ms or any other titles before your name.
  
  
• A winning form of non-verbal communication, handshakes must be accompanied by eye contact and a gentle smile.
  
  
• If you are not able to remember the full name than you can ask by saying “could I know your full name”.
  
  
• The first few words spoken by you as a caller or receiver are important for establishing your identity and purpose.
  
  
• Always keep before you the points in the order in which you want to discuss.
  
  
• Keep a pen and pad ready while talking.
  
  
• Say “ this is amit chaudhary of ‘ferns n petals’ could I speak to Mr sudesh chaturvedi,gm,hr,please?.
  
  
• Confidential matters should never be discussed over the phone.
  
  
• It is considered best to avoid drinking at business dinners.
