8. Punctilious: Very careful to behave correctly or to give attention to details

9. Pugnacious: Wanting to start an argument or fight, or expressing an argument or opinion very forcefully.
I found his nature little pugnacious.
10. Purgatory: The place to which Roman Catholics believe that the spirits of dead people go and suffer for the evil acts that they did while they were alive, before they are able to go to heaven.

The thief purloined the manuscript while its owner was away.
12. Pusillanimous: Cowardly
The little boy was too pusillanimous to complain.

13. Quaver: To shake or tremble
The young girl quavered when she was accosted by her father.
14. Querulous: Complaining
Her querulous attitude irritated all her friends.

15. Quiescient: Temporarily quiet and not active
The political situation was now relatively quiescient.
