Alibaba.com Limited, the world's leading small business e-commerce company, proclaimed that it is investing in India, with the launch of its local customer service operations here to better serve the collosal (enormous) Indian small business community. With a service office in Mumbai, Alibaba.com will primarily focus on providing dedicated customer service to its Gold supplier members during a crucial time of growth for the small business community here.
Even it strives to make services very smooth by establishing the training centers to provide effective training to its employee across India by which all the needs of customer can be fulfilled. The team will eventually grow and expand to multiple offices across India to provide local hands-on back up to Alibaba.com's rapidly growing member base.
On 30th June, 2010, proclaimed that 30,000 + new users have registered every month till half of the 2010 year. On the same date 1.45 million users from small businesses in India were using Alibaba.com's services to reach out to over 13.6 million registered buyers and suppliers on its international market place. Since the first Indian entrepreneur joined the site in 1999, Alibaba.com has continuosly strived to better understood the ever changing needs of its Indian members.
Commenting on the Indian operating Davif Wei, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) officer at Alibaba.com, said " The growth of the Indian market place has been impressive. India is one of Aliaba.com's largest markets and we wish to enhance our customer service and support for our Indian memebers in line with their evolving needs. The local customer service operations will enable Alibaba.com to work with our customers more closely, helping them grow even faster in providing new jobs and fastering economic growth"
